"WEAVING HOPE" PROJECT
In the context of the 11th International Conference of UNESCO Global Geoparks 2025, the Global Geoparks Network invites Geopark members to actively participate in the “Weaving Hope” initiative, a project developed by Kutralkura UNESCO Global Geopark and the Catholic University of Temuco.
This project aims to showcase the diversity of cultural heritage through the creation of textile pieces representing each territory, which will be proudly displayed at the conference venue in Kutralkura UNESCO Global Geopark, Chile. This remarkable artwork, interweaving colorful threads, symbolizes our network’s connection, the uniqueness of our cultural heritage, and our commitment to inclusive, holistic, and sustainable human development..
After the conference, the intention is to offer this creation to UNESCO to be placed at UNESCO HQ, Paris.
